Structured Products

Generally, Structured Products are securities whose value is linked to one or more asset classes.  The Structured Product may be highly leveraged and the link to the asset class may be complex.  Common asset classes are interest rates, equities, currencies, whilst others are hedge funds, credit, etc.

Such products are often inappropriate, opaque and expensive (with the full fees not explicitly stated). Important classes of structured products are Collateralised Debt Obligations (CDO), Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLO), Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS)

AHV can analyse such products and has done so for private investors, private banks and private client fund managers.  The objective of such analysis would be to negotiate a more appropriate structure and lower pricing for new products and repayment of fees and losses for products already transacted and as an expert witness in litigation.
